On May 16th 2023, to prevent company employees operating in the limited space from emergencies such as: poisoning, suffocation, explosion, fire disaster, ensure the smooth production of construction site , and ensure that employees who operating in limited space encounter emergency, can quickly and effectively start the emergency rescue work, ensuring the safety of employees to the fullest, Department of Safety and Environmental Protection at 1 # wharf which belongs to the company carried out rescue drills of the limited space emergency.
The company chairman Yifeng Yang is the general commander, and security director Jinglei Zhou is the site commander of the emergency rescue drill activities. Production Department, Safety and Environment Department, principals of each workshop, project supervisors, outsourcing team leaders, ship owner representatives and on-site surveyors participated in the drill. Besides, experts and representatives from Taizhou Industry and Information Technology Bureau and the Engineering Bureau of Taizhou Pharmaceutical High-tech Zone (Gao Gang District) were invited to visit the drill.
The drill activity simulated a situation in which a painter in the 11 # 12500 ship’s rope room was executing a painting repair job and grinding operation, and due to the ventilation measures in the cabin being not in place, the harmful gas in cabin exceeds the standard so that the painter was lost in poisoning coma . During the drill, the drill personnel acted quickly, had a clear division of labor, and were scientific and standardized, and successfully completed the content of the drill, which strengthened the team's ability to handle emergency aforementioned quickly.
After the drill, the safety director Jinglei Zhou made a summary of the drill, director Zhou not only gave full affirmation to the drill, but also pointed out the existing problems and weak points requiring timely rectification , and put forward specific requirements for the next step of safety work. Through this limited space operation exercise, the on-site inspection and construction personnel are further familiar with the disposal process of emergency rescue in limited space, and the on-site safety awareness and disposal ability of the employees are improved.
