On July 4th, Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding Engineering Co., Ltd. held a steel cutting ceremony for the first 1300TEU dual-fuel (methanol) container ship built by Norwegian shipowner MPCC, representatives of the shipowner、DNV classification society and Sanfu Marine attended the steel cutting ceremony.
The ship is developed and designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute, the total length of the ship is 149.95 meters, the beam is 26.8 meters, the depth is 14.6 meters, the structural draft is 9.9 meters, the maximum load capacity is about 18,700 tons, the maximum number of containers is 1328TEU, including 380TEU for refrigerated containers, the maximum speed is 18 knots, the project adopts OPEN TOP without hatch design,and the ship-type propulsion system adopts MAN 6S50ME-C9.6-LGIM-EcoEGR dual fuel (methanol and MGO) Power mainframe, equipped with advanced systems such as shaft generator, head-to-tail side thrust, DC busbar and PTH ("Take Me Home"); Equipped with 250KWh lithium battery as auxiliary power system, in line with the design concept of peak shaving and valley filling, the power load of the ship fluctuates smoothly under various working conditions. At the same time, it is equipped with a high-voltage shore power system to achieve zero discharge in the port;
This ship type can load 20, 26, 30, 40 and 45 feet and other specifications of containers, 380TEU reefer loading capacity, to meet the various needs of European branch lines, and at the same time equipped with two 45t cranes, greatly improving the loading and unloading efficiency;
This ship type is classified into DNV classification society, and with high-grade one-person bridge "NUAT (AW)" and "Recyclable" classification symbols, it will mainly serve the North Sea and Norway along the coastline, relying on the green methanol plant on the route, and establish a "green corridor" in Northern Europe to achieve carbon neutrality throughout the life cycle and operation area; The vessel's EEDI energy efficiency index fully meets the requirements of Phase III;
In the current environment of increasing global environmental protection requirements, Sanfu Shipbuilding has actively carried out the design and construction of new fuel ship types by well-known design units inside and outside the United Nations, following the start of construction of 3500TEU dual-fuel (LNG) containers in April this year, and the start of construction of 1300TEU dual-fuel (methanol) containers in July, which once again proves that Sanfu Ships has shown leapfrog development in transformation and upgrading.
