On the morning of 18th December 2024, the signing and delivery ceremony of an 11,000DWT MPV built by SANFU shipyard for a German owner was held in the meeting room of the company, which is the seventh vessel in the series of 11,000DWT MPV, and also the first one of this series of vessels to enter LR classification society.
The 11000DWT MPV has an overall length of 149.95 metres, a vertical length of 143.05 metres, a beam of 23.20 metres, a depth of 10.5 metres, a design draught of 8.50 metres and a speed of 15.5 knots. This series of vessel is a green, low-carbon and high-efficiency multi-purpose vessel model created by SANFU shipyard, jointly designed by SANFU shipyard and Holland design company. 15 vessels of the same type have been ordered by the German owner of this vessel in SANFU shipyard.
This series of vessel is driven by single FPP and low speed diesel engine, the main engine adopts MAN B&W 6G45 ME-C9.5, and there are two sets of 250T deck cranes on the port side of the deck, with the max. lifting weight up to 500 tonnes. The most notable features of the vessel are: the design is arranged as a bow-type vessel, which provides a more open view of navigation and steering, and the design is arranged with a spacious deck with an overall length of 128 metres and a long cargo hold of 104 metres, while the cargo hold is designed to be loaded with an open hatch, so that the capacity of a single compartment of the cargo hold as well as the open area of the open deck can be maximised. The vessel is equipped with two two-deck hatch covers, which can be flexibly adjusted in nine positions up and down, and two sets of movable bulkheads, which can be adjusted in multiple positions in the longitudinal direction, so that the cargo suitability has been greatly improved.
