On the morning of 22nd October, 2024, a signing and delivery ceremony was held for an 11,000DWT MPC built by Sanfu Shipbuilding for a German ship owner.
The 11,000DWT MPV has an overall length of 149.95 meters, a plumbline length of 143.05 meters, a beam of 23.20 meters, a depth of 10.5 meters, a design draught of 8.50 meters, a speed of 15.5 knots, and is classed by BV Classification Society.
This vessel is the fourth vessel of 11000DWT MPV series built by Sanfu shipyard, it is a green, low carbon and high efficiency MPV model created by Sanfu shipyard, designed by Sanfu shipyard and Dutch design company, the German owner of this vessel has ordered 15 vessels of the same type in Sanfu.
The vessel is driven by fixed pitch propeller and low speed diesel engine, the main engine is MAN B&W 6G45 ME-C9.5, and there are two sets of 250T deck cranes on the port side of the deck, with the max. lifting weight of 500 tons. The most notable features of the vessel are: the design is arranged as a bow-type vessel, which provides a more open view for sailing and driving, and the design is arranged with a spacious deck with an overall length of 128 meters and a long cargo hold of 104 meters, while the cargo hold is designed for open-port loading, which maximizes the capacity of a single compartment of the cargo hold as well as the open area of the open deck. The vessel is equipped with two two-deck hatch covers, which can be flexibly adjusted in nine positions up and down, and two sets of movable bulkheads, which can be adjusted in multiple positions in the longitudinal direction, so that the cargo suitability has been greatly improved.
