In the afternoon of October 30th, 2024, Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully launched a 3,500 TEU dual-fuel (LNG+MGO) container ship built for a German shipowner at the company's 4# shipyard.

The ship has an overall length of 248.00m, a plumbline length of 236.50m, a beam of 35.20m, a depth of 19.2m, a design draft of 11.00m, a maximum deadweight of 51,000 tons, a design speed of 19.5 knots, and it has been classed by DNV.

This series of 3,500 TEU dual-fuel container ship is designed by HB HUNTE design company of Germany and adopts bow type design. The main fuel of this vessel is LNG (natural gas) and MGO (diesel), and it adopts vertical gas storage tanks, which is the world's largest ship-loaded vertical gas tank so far. The vessel can carry more than 1,000 reefer containers and is equipped with a reefer monitoring system. The EEDI index of the vessel meets and exceeds the current industry standard, and its environmental protection performance is far superior to that of its counterparts.

On the same day, Sanfu shipyard delivered an 11,000DWT MPC built for a German ship owner and sailed away from the company's No.2 quay to start its maiden voyage. 11,000DWT MPC series is a green, low-carbon and high-efficiency MPC model created by Sanfu shipyard, which is designed by Sanfu shipyard and a Dutch design company. Recently, this series of vessels has passed the recognition of the first set of major technical equipment in Jiangsu Province in 2024 by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
