On 15th November 2024, Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. achieved two major nodes: one delivery and one steel cutting of 3,500 TEU dual-fuel (LNG+MGO) container ship series built for German ship owner.
At 13:18pm, the steel cutting of 6#3500TEU dual-fuel container ship built by Sanfu shipyard was held in steel workshop.
At 14:08 pm, the signing and delivery ceremony of 2#3500TEU dual-fuel container ships constructed by Sanfu shipyard was held in the conference room of the company.
This series of 3500TEU dual-fuel container ships are designed by HB HUNTE design company of Germany and adopt bow type design. The main fuel of this vessel is LNG (natural gas) and MGO (diesel), and it adopts vertical gas storage tank, which is the largest vertical gas tank loaded on board in the world so far. The ship can carry more than 1,000 reefer containers and is equipped with a reefer monitoring system. The ship's EEDI index meets and exceeds current industry standards, and its environmental performance is far beyond that of its peers.
During the construction process of this series of vessels, SF shipbuilding team summed up the experience, planned scientifically, and cooperated with the shipowner's supervision in the shipyard, DNV classification society, suppliers and other parties to promote the project progress. It is especially worth mentioning that the 2# ship delivered this time took only 5 days to complete the sea trial with solid preparations in the early stage, and was signed and delivered 2 days after the sea trial, creating a new Sanfu speed!
